First time in Greater Noida Horse & Cycle Polo event

GREATER NOIDA LOKESH GOSWAMI  

First time in Greater Noida Horse & Cycle Polo event was organized by GNIDA, at zonal Sports Complex Sector-37 on 6^th February, 2016. The program was inaugurated by Shri Rama Raman, Chairman (NOIDA, GNIDA & YEA). Total three teams, Indian Navy, Bharat Polo & GNIDA participated for Bharat Polo trophy.The event started with the band performance and skit “Quit Tobacco” by the students of Samsara School, Greater Noida followed by skit “Women Empowerment” by the students of Savitri Bai Phule Balika Inter College, Greater Noida which were highly appreciated by crowd which turned in large number. The same were followed by Band performance by BSF, ITBP, CRPF and in ITBP’s Dog show, the dogs performed amazing stunts. The exhibition match for cycle polo were played by the players of Air Force, which created excitement among the audience. The Horse polo game started by the throw-in by Sh. Rama Raman, Chairman (NOIDA, GNIDA, YEA) followed by the round robin league Polo matches which were played between Indian Navy, Bharat Polo & GNIDA. The Bharat Polo was declared the winner whereas the GNIDA was the runner up of the Bharat Polo Trophy. CEO Shri Deepak Agarwal, ACEO Shri P.C. Gupta, ACEO Shri Baranwal and DCEO Shri Shishir from Greater Noida Industrial development authority were also present during the function.  Tomorrow on 7^th Feb 2016 all three teams will compete for the Diplomat Cup amidst ITBP, BSF & CRPF Band’s display along with Cultural Dance by Tharu ethnic community from Lakhimpur Khiri, Uttar Pradesh.
