Five hurt in pile-up; two in Ghaziabad road collapse

At least five persons were severely injured after four cars piled up near the Akshardham temple late on Monday night. According to the police, one of the cars overturned after hitting a divider. The injured have been rushed to a hospital.

The pile-up led to a massive traffic jam on the stretch. The incident was reported around 10.30 p.m. when a Tata Sumo car slowed down near the Akshardham flyover. A Hyundai Santro car driving behind it rammed the vehicle at high speed, which was followed by a Maruti Swift car. Occupants of each one of the cars including a few women were injured in the accident. A probe has been initiated to find out the reason behind the pile-up.
