Mumbai, 15th May 2023: Following the BJP’s defeat in Karnataka, the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) state in Maharashtra, NCP chairman Jayant Patil stated on Sunday that the state NCP will work with other parties to mount a united opposition against the ruling party in the 2024 elections.
Patil added that the MVA comprising the Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress are working out a formula ahead of the Lok Sabha and the Maharashtra assembly elections due in the second half of the next year.
MVA leaders including Uddhav Thackeray of Shiv Sena (UBT) and state Congress chief Nana Patole, attended the meeting. The MVA leaders have also confirmed their plan to hold talks with other small parties and hope to present a united opposition to the current dispensation in the country in 2024.
