Football tournament held at DPS, #Ghaziabad
Delhi Public School, Ghaziabad (DPSGV) conducted a five-day football tournament — Copa Euphoria 2016 — from October 17 to October 21, that saw 26 schools participate. Sports official of Sports and Youth Affairs, U.P Government, Mr. Shyam Narayan Yadav, was the chief guest at the opening ceremony.
Mr. Yadav, along with Principal Mr. Dharmendra Goyal, wished luck to all the participating teams. Students from DPSGVA put on a yoga performance at the opening ceremony.
The two teams that made it to the football tournament finals were R. S Junior Delhi and Amity International School, Vasundhara.
The final match was held on October 21 and R.S Junior Delhi emerged as the winner.
The chief guest Mr. Anaba Ebere — who was senior coach with Phoenix Football Academy, Goa, and Bankura Football club Kolkata league — gave away the prizes.
Vandit Saproo of DPSGV bagged the award for the top scorer, while the best goalkeeper award was collected by Arya Sinha of DPSGV.
The promotional player award was won by Kris from R.S Junior Delhi. Aditya Dutta of Amity International School was judged the player of the tournament.
