Forbes announces Virat Kohli as the most powerful sports personality of the year
The 2016 Forbes India Celebrity 100 List has been revealed. Indian Test captain and batting starlet Virat Kohli held the top position of the list among the Indian sports personalities while Indian ODI captain MS Dhoni grabbed the second best position. Legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar ranked third among the sports personalities. Their overall ranking is third, fifth and seventh.
The list of top 10 was highly influenced by Bollywood celebrities. Only three Indian cricketers featured in the list along with two actresses.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan topped the list while Bollywood’s Badshah Shah Rukh Khan finished as the second best in 2016. The third position went to Indian batsman Virat Kohli while Akshay Kumar held the fourth position. The rest of the six positions in top ten are held by MS Dhoni, Diipeeka Padukone, Sachin Tendulkar, Priyanka Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan
