Punjab, Sept 16th, 2022: Former Chief Minister of Punjab and Indian Amry veteran Amarinder Singh will be joining the Bhartiya Janta Party(BJP) on Monday, 19th September.
Singh was a part of Congress before quitting the party in November last year.
After that, he formed a new party called Punjab Lok Congress(PLC) which he will be merging with BJP when he joins next week.
The 80-year-old former Military captain will be departing for New Delhi on Sunday, 18th Sept. He also met with PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss his position and responsibilities once he joins the saffron party.
An official announcement about PLC’s merger with BJP will be released next week as well.
Six Congress leaders, including a few former MLAs, are set to join BJP along with the former chief minister.
