Four killed in separate mishaps
Jammu, Jun 22 (PTI) Four persons were killed and another was injured in separate road accidents in Doda and Ramban districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Three persons were killed on the spot and another injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell down into a drain at Raggi Nallah in Doda district last evening, a police officer said here today.
After getting information, a police team rushed to the spot and evacuated the dead and injured from the site of the accident, he said, adding the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Zakir Hussain, Imtiyaz Ahmed and Mushtaq Ahmed, he said, adding a case has been registered and further investigations started.
In another accident, a woman identified as Naseema Begum was run over by an unknown vehicle on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway near Char Chinnar in Banihal tehsil of Ramban district.
A case has been registered and manhunt launched to arrest the culprit, he said.
