FOUR WANTED KIDNAPPERS OF MEWAT REGION ARRESTED.

HAD KIDNAPPED A BUSINESSMAN AND HIS EMPLOYEE HAVING BUSINESS BASED IN LONDON AND AHMEDABAD.

CASH REWARD OF RS. 2.5 LAC WAS DECLARED ON THEIR ARREST.

MOBILE PHONE AND WRIST WATCH OF VICTIM RECOVERED FROM ACCUSED PERSONS.

INTORDUCTION: –

Crime Branch has arrested four kidnappers of Mewat region of Haryana namely (1.) Iliyas (28 yrs) s/o Yahuda r/o Village Rupdaka, PS Bahin, Tehsil Hathin, Distt. Palwal, Haryana, (2.) Naseem (25 yrs) s/o Sardar Khan r/o Village Rupdaka, PS Bahin, Tehsil Hathin, Distt. Palwal, Haryana (3.) Irfan (26 yrs) s/o Hussain Khan r/o Village Tirwada, PS Punhana, Distt. Mewat, Haryana and (4.) Abid (22 yrs) s/o Yahuda r/o Village Rupdaka, PS Bahin, Tehsil Hathin, Distt. Palwal, Haryana.

Iliyas was carrying a cash reward of Rs 1 lac on his arrest and other three were carrying cash reward of Rs 50,000/- each on their arrest. The gang was involved in a sensational case of kidnapping for ransom of a businessman and his employee, both residents of Ahmedabad (Gujarat) having their business base in London also. Mobile phone and wrist watch of victim have been recovered from them.

INCIDENT:-

On 03.02.2015, information was received telephonically from wife of the businessman that he had left Ahmedabad for Delhi by Ashram Express on 02.02.2015. The train had reached Delhi on 03.02.2015 at around 11:30 AM. She further informed that she had received a call on her telephone from her father-in-law i.e. businessman’s father based in London (UK), that her husband has been kidnapped and the kidnappers are demanding Rs 1 Crore as ransom amount for his release. She further stated that his employee who was accompanying him, has also been kidnapped. On this information, a case under the appropriate sections of the law was registered. A team of ISC, Crime Branch conducted raids in Mewat and Delhi and arrested one accused namely Javed. The team also successfully rescued the victims unhurt.

The rescued businessman revealed that they have a well established trading business in metal and scrap having their bases at London, UK and Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. They have their own website for interface with the clients. In the website, there is mention of their telephone numbers as well as the email-IDs. Around fifteen days prior to the kidnapping incident, he had received a telephone call from a person who claimed to be a scrap dealer based near Delhi and informed that he has large quantity of Aluminium scrap in the warehouse. After initial negotiations, the businessman was asked to come to Delhi for the final deal. On reaching Delhi on 03.02.2015, he and his employee met the purported scrap dealer at Old Delhi Railway Station. They boarded a Tata Safari vehicle that had been brought by the purported dealer. Subsequently, at gun point, they were taken to a village where they were kept as hostage and confined. The businessman told them that he was not the owner of the trading firm but both of them were employees. He further informed that their employer is based in London, UK. Accordingly, the kidnappers called the given contact in London (UK) for payment of ransom money. The businessman further disclosed that initially, he was kept at one village but suddenly was shifted to another village. Later on, he came to know that the police have conducted raids in the village and hence he was shifted. A ‘gang of 10’ was involved in the crime. Other accused persons were absconding. Looking in to the gravity of the case cash reward on the arrest of other accused persons was declared.

TEAM AND OPERATION : –

A team led by ACP KPS Malhotra, and consisting of Insp. P C Yadav, SIs Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Aas Mohammad, Brahamdev, Cts Salimuddin, Jai Parkash, Anil, Mohit, Pradeep, Jasvir, Hawa Singh, Surender, Jitender and Sudhir under the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh and over all supervision of Addl. CP Ashok Chand, was constituted to nab the culprits. A secret information was received that accused Irfan and Naseem would be coming Kalandi Kunj, Delhi. A trap was laid and both the accused persons were apprehended from Kalindi Kunj, Delhi. Accused persons were arrested and were taken on police custody remand. During their police custody remand two other accused persons Iliyas and Abid were also arrested from their hideouts in Haryana. A mobile phone and wrist watch of victim have been recovered from the accused persons.

His father is a small farmer. He has studied up to 5th standard. Hathin, Distt. Palwal, Haryana – He belongs to a well to do family. He had completed his B.Ed. degree from MD University, Rohtak, Haryana. Distt. Mewat, Haryana – His parents expired when he was a kid. He never been to school.
