Galgotias University organized an Orientation Programme for PhD Scholars (Winter Batch 2023-24) to provide valuable insights into the academic and research environment of the university on 17th February 2024. The event provided the scholars a platform to interact with their prospective supervisors and connect with fellow scholars. During the event’s inauguration, Mr. Suneel Galgotia, Chancellor of Galgotias University, emphasized the importance of PhD degree and wished all the scholars an excellent research experience at Galgotias University. Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, encouraged scholars to conduct research and innovation through their work as this is the only way to reduce the gap between industry and academia. He also emphasized that the scholars should be determined to finish their work in the stipulated time. Ms. Aradhana Galgotia, Director of Operations, congratulated the new entrants and encouraged them with her words of wisdom. She emphasized quality research and that students should stick to their timetable and start framing their research questions now. She said that research should be performed without plagiarism.

The Chief Guest Brig. (Dr.) Rakesh Gupta, Director GIMS, Greater NOIDA inspired scholars to perform genuine and original research. He called this age the golden age of data and information. He advised the scholars to use technology in their research for better results. Prof. (Dr.) Avadhesh Kumar, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Galgotias University, emphasized the commitment to achieve success during PhD work and explained the true meaning of a PhD degree; Dr. Nitin Gaur, Registrar of the university, made scholars familiar with the academic and administrative processes and practices of the university and wished all a bright future ahead. Prof. (Dr.) B Rajanarayan Prusty, Dean-Research, explained the strategic steps taken by the Research Office to enhance the research outcomes of PhD scholars. Dr Amrita Tyagi from the Research Office coordinated the event.
