3 Students of Galgotias University to Receive Arjuna Award for Securing Medals in 2024 Paralympics

Three exceptional students from Galgotias University are set to be honored with the prestigious Arjuna Award by the Honorable President of India on January 17, 2025. This recognition follows their remarkable performances at the recently concluded 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris, where they brought glory to both the nation and their alma mater.

Rakesh Kumar, a Bachelor of Arts student, earned a bronze medal in archery, while Preeti Pal, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) student, secured bronze medals in both the 100-meter and 200-meter races. Simran Sharma, a Master of Arts (MA) student, also earned a bronze in the 200-meter race. These extraordinary accomplishments have filled the nation with pride, highlighting the students’ immense dedication and perseverance.

Expressing his pride, Sunil Galgotia, Chancellor of Galgotias University, stated, “Receiving the Arjuna Award from the Honorable President is a moment of immense pride for our entire university.
