Garbage Row: BJP MP Gautam Gambhir shares old letter Inviting Kejriwal to Ghazipur dump yard

New Delhi, 27 October 2022: Former cricketer and East Delhi MP, Gautam Gambhir has once again accused Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, over the Ghazipur landfill site in his area, stating that he has brought up the issue in preparation for the municipal elections in Delhi.
He further called Kejriwal “barsati mendhak” and “liar in chief”, “I’ve traveled to the Ghazipur mountain eight times since 2019, and the Chief Minister did not appear even after I requested him again and again. Electoral frogs come out looking at the sky, not seeing pain,” he added.
Gambhir also attached a letter he had written to Kejriwal shortly after he was chosen as Chief Minister for the third time in 2020.
This development came after Kejriwal today vowed that “we will clean Delhi and overhaul its sanitation, just as we have overhauled the education and health systems.”
In the letter, he said, the largest landfill in Asia is something I’d want to attract your attention to. Being public servants is something that all of us are really concerned about. The adjacent residents are in extremely precarious conditions.
However, AAP has not yet responded to his post, despite the fact that it has been charging the BJP with “turning the entire city into a garbage dump” for the previous few months.
Along with inviting him to view the work being done by the central government and BJP-led civic organisation, the letter further states, “As the CM of Delhi, you should visit the place for [those people’s] sake.” However, it is alleged that the Delhi leader had not responded to the invitation.
