Lights go out on #Vaishali roads, make them unsafe

GHAZIABAD: A 28-year-old interior designer, Sarita Sharma, fell victim to chain-snatchers on a poorly lit street at Sector 8 in Vaishali two months ago. A resident of Sector 4, walking alone on the streets of the city in the evenings, has become an ordeal for her since. “Two masked men on a motorcycle snatched my chain and sped away abusing me. I was all alone on the street and no one came to my aid,” recalls Sharma, who was so horrified after the accident that she did not go to work for a week.
