83rd Indian Air Force Day: Sachin joins India’s heroes at Hindon air base; PM congratulates

India on Thursday celebrates 83rd Air Force Day on October 8, at the Hindon air base in Ghaziabad where the IAF puts its might on display. India’s heroes were even congratulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who tweeted: I salute our air force personnel on Air Force Day. The main attractions which were at display were: IAF’s aircraft inventory technologies like the Airborne Warning Control System (AWACS) deep penetration striker Jaguar Russian fighters Mig-21 multi-role French fighter Mirage-2000 Mig-29 and the Sukhio-30 MKI MI-17V helicopter advanced light helicopter Dhruv advanced jet trainer Hawk Pilatus PC-7 turbo jet trainer indigenously-developed Rohini Indian Doppler Radar (INDRA) Mark II radar system What happened during the event The event began with a parade where sky drivers of Akash Ganga team performed by doing a high-altitude jump from an AN-32 transport aircraft at an altitude of 8,000 feet and touched down at the air strip within minutes.
