GIMS Greater NOIDA Launches Comprehensive Guidebook on Operation Theatre Technology

Greater Noida (18 July 2025) The Department of Anaesthesia at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) proudly announced the release of a new academic publication titled “Foundations of Operation Theatre Technology: Comprehensive Guide to OT Basics, Surgeries and Anaesthesia.” The launch was held in celebration of OT Technician Day, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of educational resources for Operation Theatre (OT) technicians and students.

Authored by the esteemed faculty members of the Department of Anaesthesia, this book is designed to serve as a foundational resource for students pursuing OT Technician courses, as well as those enrolled in Bachelor of Operation Theatre Technology (BOTT) programs. Written in clear and accessible language, the guide aims to simplify complex medical concepts and provide practical insights into the core areas of OT functioning, surgical procedures, and anaesthesia.

Department of Anaesthesia faculty GIMS, remarked during the release, “This book is a reflection of our commitment to enhancing the quality of education and training for OT personnel.
