GJF to develop a special software to cater the issues of GST

With less than two months to the rollout of goods and services tax (GST), businesses are on edge about their preparedness. In a bid to ensure a smooth roll-out and adoption of the GST, which will bring India under a unified tax regime, the All India Gem and Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF) will develop a software that will teach and inform traders, wholesalers, retailers, small-medium enterprises, businessmen about the GST and how tax will be levied.

Nitin Khandelwal, Chairman, GJF, said that, several businessmen in India has no knowledge about GST and especially in the rural areas condition is very poor.

Through our software, not only jewellers all the businessmen of our country will get all the queries solved, he added.
Ahead of implementation of GST from July 1, the government is strengthening the body responsible for detecting tax evasion and will set up two new agencies.
