Global textiles expo Bharat Tex 2026 to showcase India’s leadership in fashion, sustainability

New Delhi, July 2 (IANS) India’s largest global textile event, Bharat Tex 2026, will be held from July 14–17, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam here to showcase the country’s global leadership in textiles, fashion, sustainability, technology, innovation, investment and international trade, an official statement said on Thursday.

The event is expected to draw over 7,000 buyers, 1.3 lakh trade visitors, with more than 20,000 textile products and exhibitions spread across 1.6 million sq. ft. leading to meaningful commercial engagements during the event.

The third edition of the event, organised by Bharat Tex Trade Federation, a consortium of Textile Export Promotion Councils and Industry Bodies with support from the Ministry of Textiles, will bring together manufacturers, exporters, global buyers, brands, sourcing consultants, investors, policymakers, states, international delegations, designers, artisans, start-ups and technology providers.

The statement from the Ministry of Textiles said the program will feature over 350 speakers from over 20 countries, an International Pavilion, and participation from eight sponsor states and nine exhibitor states.

Over 1,600 exhibitors will present the complete value chain across dedicated exhibition halls spanning fibre, yarn, fabric, apparel and fashion, home textiles, technical textiles and ancillary industries.

Another key highlight of the exhibition is celebrating and showcasing India’s textile clusters including Tirupur, Ichalkaranji and Ahmedabad, amongst others. This edition has international exhibitors from 14 countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Portugal, Spain, New Zealand, South Korea, South Africa, Nepal among others.

The International Pavilion is designed to deepen global participation and facilitate structured cross-border engagement. Eight Sponsor States include Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Nine exhibitor states and UTs are Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha, Manipur, Rajasthan and West Bengal.

The programme will host over 100-plus knowledge sessions with 39 panel discussions, 16 roundtables, 37 master classes, 8 State sessions and other specialised formats.

The sessions will cover themes such as trade and investment, technology and innovation, sustainability and circularity, fashion and craft, etc, the statement said.
