Glowing tributes paid to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary.
Mewar Group paid homage to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and celebratedhis birth anniversary on 23 January 2015. Colonel T. P Tyagi, Chairman, RWA Federation (Ghaziabad) was the guest of honor. The function started with a brief introduction of Colonel Tyagi by Dr. Alka Agarwal, Director, Mewar Institute.
The program, which began with the singing of Saraswati Vandana, reached a high point, with students from various departments singing songs, including Vande Matram, and reciting poems with a nationalistic fervor.
Colonel Tyagi’s speech, drawing on the lives of ‘Netaji’ and his INA members, filled the students with a deep sense of nationalism. He urged the students to greet each other with ‘Jai Hind’ on all occasions.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiya, Chairman, Mewar Group of Institution, stated that Netaji is immortal, and will never fade away from people’s memory for the contribution he made to India’s freedom. Dr. Gadiya added that Netaji wanted a unified India, which would have been made possible but for his sudden disappearance from the national scene. Netaji’s speech delivered on Rangoon radio makes it clear that his vision of India included Burma, Bhutan and what is today’s Pakistan.
Colonel Tyagi was felicitated with a shawl and a memento by Dr. Gadiya.Among those present were Shri Bharat Bhushan, Director General, Law Department, the faculty and the staff. The proceedings of the program were successfully conducted by Vandita, a student of the institute. The program concluded with the singing of National Anthem.
