Good Governance Day celebrated in Faridabad
On the occasion of birthday of Former Prime Minister Shree Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the great freedom fighter Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya, the day was celebrated as ‘Good Governance day’ on 25th December all over the country. In Faridabad, a program was organised by the district administration at the HUDA Convention hall sector-12, Member of Parliament and Minister of State for Social Welfare and Empowerment Shri Krishan Pal Gurjar presided over the function.
Addressing the gathering, Gurjar extended his best wishes to the former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the occasion of his 91st Birthday. As the day is celebrated as ‘Good Governance Day’, Gurjar said that ‘Good Governance’ is to do the work in the right way and will. He said that by the term Good Governance it is understood that each of us in the administration work should perform our duty with honesty and sincerity. He said that doing the work sincerity without promoting corruption is actually the right way of doing work and a step towards good governance. He further said that after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi coming to power at the Center, opposition is seen cursing him because the Prime Minister has plugged all the corrupt practices and it is not possible to do the things against the laid principles. He said that while the top functionaries of the earlier governments were seen prosecuted and going behind the bars on the charges of corruption, the BJP government in its last 18 months of rule has not been accused of any case of corruption.
Narrating the work done by the current government he talked about making of toilets in rural sector, electrification of villages, constitution of separate department for skill development, starting of Beti-Bachao, Beti-Padhao initiative, different insurance schemes to support every section of the society and many more.
Also present on the occasion were Chief Parliamentary Secretary Smt. Seema Trikha, District President BJP Shri Ajay Gaur, Senior BJP Leader Nayanpal Rawat, Dr. R.N.Singh, Devendra Chaudhary along with others.
