Gurugram (Haryana), 5th May 2023: Bard, Google’s ChatGPT-like chatbot, could soon be available on Pixel smartphones and tablets. According to reports, Google is planning to increase the reach of its generative artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot by incorporating it into the company’s products via a widget.

According to a recent APK (Android Package Kit) dissection of Bard’s code, the chatbot will be available as a home-screen widget. Bard could be included into the Google Search app or released as a separate app. Bard can now programme in 20 different languages, including Java, C++, and Python.

Google is working on implementing Bard AI on Pixel phones and tablets, according to an APK analysis by 9to5Google. According to the report, Google is preparing to include a special widget for its Bard AI directly on the home-screen, which will be exclusive to the company’s handsets. Bard could be included into the Google Search app or released as a separate app.

The probable inclusion of Bard in Pixel phones could pave the way for a bigger distribution of AI to all Android devices in the future. However, Google is yet to confirm the inclusion.

Google began making Bard available to the public in March of this year in order to gain headway on Microsoft in a fast-moving contest in AI technology. Currently, only a tiny number of people have access to Google’s in-house competitor to OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

Bard can code in 20 computer languages, including Java, C++, and Python, and can also assist users in debugging and explaining code.

At this year’s I/O conference, Google is expected to make AI-related announcements. The Pixel 7a and the much-anticipated Pixel Fold will be unveiled at the annual event, which begins on May 10.
