Gorkha foundation protests against West Bengal government, demands separate Gorkhaland

Today the Gorkha of Delhi and Gorkha foundation organised a protest demonstration at Jantar Mantar. This was against the authoritarian imposition of Bengali language among the schools of Darjeeling where Nepali is the official language.
Sagan Muktan, Chief leader of the Gorkha Foundation said that, Gorkha people have been demanding for a separate state of Gorkhaland since 1907. It has been numerous impediments but the soul of Gorkhashas still been as strong and convinced as it ever was for the realisation of this dream.
To show our solidarity with the public of hills and our love for the language ‘Jati’ the Gorkha people have gathered to protest against callous West Bengal government, he added .
Talking about the declined tourism in Darjeeling, he said it’s because of callous attitude of the West Bengal government.
