Government to administer oath to Delhi schoolboys to behave well with girls: CM Kejriwal

New Delhi : Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced that the Delhi government will administer an oath to male students at all schools to behave well with girls and not to indulge in crimes against women.

Addressing a press conference at Delhi Secretariat, chief minister said that the increasing rate of crime against women is indicating distorted mentality of the society. So to overcome that we had decided to start a awareness campaign on changing the mindset of society and this needs to be started from schools.

This awareness campaign will have majorly three parts. In the first part of the campaign, the male students in all school and colleges including private will be administered with an oath to behave well with girls and not to indulge in any crime against women. In the second part, girls students will be asked to sensitize their brothers about inappropriate behaviour and also report that they have done the same. They will also explain there brother that she will not accept him at home if he do anything wrong to a women.

While in the third part a interactive session of one hour will be organized in the classes were students will be discussing over crime against women.

Arvind Kejriwal detailing more about the campaign said “This campaign will be regulated in a particular interval of time of 3 month to six months. I think this step will be welcomed by every institution and give a positive change. The society boycotts a rapist or a person who indulges in crime against women but now it’s time when families need to boycott their members who commits crime against women.
