Gunjan Saxena biopic first look: Janhvi Kapoor is flying high!
New Delhi: Actor Janhvi Kapoor aims for the sky in the first look poster of ‘Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl’. The poster was unveiled by Karan Johar today, he shared it on his twitter handle.

The actor looks like a young girl who is full of energy and aspirations. Dressed in a multi-coloured (Green, white, yellow, red and black) sweater, Janhvi Kapoor has dreams in her eyes. There is child-like excitement on her face while she is posing to release a paper plane into the sky. Her hair is also given a wavy look for the picture. As per the reports Janhvi had to gain 6kg to fit into the role of Gunjan Saxena.

The film is a biopic on a fighter pilot and first female Shaurya Chakra recipient Gunjan Saxena, who fought all odds to achieve her dream of flying. Gunjan played a significant role in shifting the injured soldiers from the war location to safe zones during the Kargil War.
Karan shared another post in which Janhvi can be seen wearing the Air Force uniform as she walks amongst the crowd of male officers who are applauding her.
In yet another poster shared by Apoorva Mehta, Janhvi is hugging her onscreen father Pankaj Tripathi. It has the tagline ‘meri beti ki udaan koi nahi rok sakta (No one can stop my daughter from flying high).
Giving her the wings to fly was the unconditional belief and support from her father!

‘Gunjan Saxena -The Kargil Girl’ is directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Dharma Productions in association with Zee Studios. The film cast also includes Pankaj Tripathi, Vineet Kumar Singh and Angad Bedi in important roles. While Pankaj plays Janhvi’s onscreen father, Angad essays the role of her brother. It is set to release on March 13, 2020 in theatres.
