42 year old driver burnt alive as new Chevrolet Sail catches fire in #Gurgaon

The two month old diesel engined Chevrolet Sail sedan caught fire on the Surajkund-Pali Road in Faridabad. The victim, who was also the driver of the car, was burnt alive as he was unable to get out of the car in time.dentified as Hardev from Hirapur village in Faridabad, the victim was trapped in the burning car and died even before fire brigade could be called to tend to the fire.

Initial investigations reveal that short circuit could be the cause of the fire while central locking system got jammed in the process preventing the driver from escaping. Hardev lived in Sector 14 Faridabad and was on his way to Gurgaon from Faridabad. It was while passing through Pali Road that the incident took place at 8.30 pm in Tuesday night.
