Overloaded garbage trucks go unchecked in #Gurgaon

Overloaded garbage trucks ply on Gurgaon roads, violating the guidelines of NGT (National Green Tribunal), but the authorities choose to remain ignorant.

As per the NGT guidelines, all garbage carrying vehicles under the 2010 environmental norms are directed to fully cover the garbage material with sheets.

It causes inconvenience to the commuters, especially on jam packed and narrow roads, as the uncovered overloaded waste produces foul smell. Commuters find it difficult to breathe when these garbage carriers pass by.

The picture of the overloaded garbage truck above was taken while it was passing the narrow roads of Udhyog Vihar Phase 2 where the offices and headquarters of most of the multi-national companies are located.

As you can see the vehicle is overloaded plus the garbage is carried without any covering over the top.
