An unexpected wind storm followed by light showers on Wednesday afternoon created major traffic snarls choking service lanes at Delhi-Jaipur expressway on Wednesday afternoon.

Commuters on the road shared that another reason for choc-o-bloc traffic was the ongoing army recruitment camp at the Tau Devilal Stadium that caused the congestion at Sohna Road, Rajiv Chowk and Subash Chowk. The officials and other participants who had gathered at Tau Devilal Stadium had parked their vehicle at main road connecting Sohna Road eventually disrupting the movement at the expressway.

Traffic police deployed at Rajiv Chowk located few kilometres from the Tau Devilal stadium took more than two hours to clear the congestion.

Nitin Sabbarwal, a resident of Gurgaon, who had got stuck in the traffic, complained, ‘’The parking on the both sides of Sohna Road created a big mess at the normal traffic hours. We remained stuck in traffic for hours and it was extremely annoying.”
