Guru Pranam Utsav 2017, an evening dedicated to Odissi dance.

Odissi, the most acknowledged classical dance forms of India was showcased in Guru Pranam Utsav 2017-New Delhi on Monday by the Vaishali Kala Kendra, one of the leading dance institute at Noida.

Carrying forward the teachings of great Guru Shrinath ji, Vaishali Kala Kendra for more than two decades celebrate Guru Shishya Parampara by organising Guru Pranam Utsav in the memory and honour of Guru Shrinath Raut ji, who dedicated his life to Odissi dance.

Chief guests of the event, Syed Mohammed Akhtar( Director ICCR), Dr.Harivansh Chaturvedi (Director BIMTECH) and Suneera Kasliwal (Dean , Music Faculty, Delhi University).
The programme included performances by eminent artists like Jyoti Shrivastava Manoj Pradhan and Suraj Kumar Sahoo. Guru Jyoti Shrivastava and her disciples Shaily Chatterjee, Varsha Das, Isha Das, Khayati and Shambhavi.
Performances received enormous amount of applause from the spectators and made the evening memorable for everyone.
