Gurugram hosts the first day of AHP Hospitality Challenge 2016
Young hospitality Professionals showcased their housekeeping skillsGurugram, JUNE 21, 2016: The first day of 3rd edition of the Hospitality Challenge 2016 by ASSOCIATION OF HOSPITALITY PROFESSIONALS was hosted in Gurugram for the first time. The event witnessed two unique competitions of HOUSEKEEPING at THE LEELA AMBIENCE, GURGAON. Young Hospitality Professionals from prominent hotels displayed the art of Bed-making and pioneering styles of towel folding.
The competition saw the gathering of over 60 young professionals in Art of Bed making and Towel folding from 15 prominent hotels under one roof at the AHP platform who demonstrated their knowledge, expertise and innovation in different ways. The participants of Bed Making presented their proficiency by making the flawless beds in the given time with technique, tidiness and speed as parameters. Towel folding is an essential art that is to be learnt as it brings exuberance to the ambiance. The participants of ‘Art of Towel Folding’ had put up a spectacular show and enamored the audience by giving diverse and unimaginable shapes and patterns to towels.
This platform was designed to felicitate the young team at work behind the scene and bring out the best for the guests. The award ceremony to announce the winners of the competition shall be held on July 8, 2016 at AIR FORCE AUDITORIUM, SUBROTO PARK, New Delhi.

The first day of the challenge 2016 saw the participants competing in Art of Bed making and Towel folding. The entire idea of such challenges is to create awareness about this profession and felicitate the achievers in this industry”
