New Delhi, 12th December 2016: BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2016, one of the most significant trade fairs in India for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines and Construction Vehicle Industry, started its four day exhibition at the Huda Grounds, Gurugram, New Delhi on 12th December 2016.
Present at the inaugural function were Mrs Santosh Yadav Hon’ble Deputy Speaker, Haryana Vidhan Sabha (Haryana Legislative Assembly), Government of India, Shri. Girish Shankar, Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry, Government of India, Dr. Silva – Garbade, Deputy Minister, Economic Sections, Germany Embassy in India, Mr. Patrick Santillo, Minister Counselor, U.S. Embassy in India, Mr. Avinash M. Patil, President, Builders’ Association of India, Mr. Anand Sundaresan, President, Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association and Mr. Igor Palka, Chief Executive Officer, bC Expo India Pvt. Ltd.
“With infrastructure investment set to go up, demand for construction equipment will rise further and the Indian construction equipment revenues are expected to breach the US$ 23 billion (INR 1.5 lakh crores approximately) mark. BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA is an international trade fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines and Construction Vehicle Industry which brings the industry together on one platform in India,” said Mr. Avinash M. Patil, President, Builders’ Association of India.

The key highlights on Day 1 of the trade fair included an IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) Meeting, and the BAI (Builders’ Association of India) Managing Committee Meeting which was attended by the members of the association. The first day of the trade fair concluded with the Awards Ceremony for ‘Honoring the Best in the Construction and Infrastructure Sector’, which was organized by Construction Times. A ‘Demo Area’ was also set up in the trade fair where exhibitors showcased live demonstrations of the performance of their machinery and equipment to the visitors.
The key highlights for day 2 and day 3 will include a Conference on ‘Infra Redux – New and Sustainable Horizons’, which will be organized by ICEMA (Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association), a Conference on ‘Maximizing CE Sector Opportunities’ and an Awards Ceremony will be held for Excellence Awards which will be organized by Construction Opportunities.
“We are very pleased with the response that we have received in the first day of BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2016. This year we are expecting over 30,000 visitors, coming to the trade fair.

Around 650 exhibitors showcase their products and technologies at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA 2016 and the key exhibitors at the trade fair include, ACE, Ajax Fiori, Ammann Apollo, ASTEC, BAUER, BKT, Case, Caterpillar, Columbia Machines, Haulotte, Herrenknecht, JCB, Kobelco, KYB Conmat, Liebherr, Linnhoff, Liugong, Macons, MAN, Marini, Masa, Potain, Putzmeister, Puzzolana, Sany, Schwing Stetter, Soilmec, Topwerk, Wacker Neuson, Volvo , Wirtgen and XCMG among others. The trade fair is also supported by associations like the Builders’ Association of India (BAI), the Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (ICEMA), the Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) and Invest India.

BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA, the International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Machinery is being held for the fourth time from December 12 to 15, 2016 at the HUDA grounds in Gurugram/Delhi. The last event, held in Greater Noida/Delhi in December 2014, was attended by 635 companies from 25 countries and 26,018 specialist visitors. BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA is held every two years.
