Handicrafts Expo ARTEFACTS-2025 Features Spectacular Musical Performance and High Visitor Engagement

Jodhpur, Rajasthan 25th January 2025: The third day of the Handicrafts Expo (ARTEFACTS)-2025 continued to attract a large number of visitors, showcasing the traditional artistry and craftsmanship of Jodhpur. The highlight of the day was a mesmerizing musical performance that captivated the audience and added to the vibrant atmosphere of the expo.

K. K. Vishnoi, Industry & Commerce, Sports & Youth Affairs, Skill & Employment & Entrepreneurship and Policy Making Govt. of Rajasthan said that “I am delighted to witness the vibrant showcase of our rich cultural heritage at the Handicraft Expo (ARTEFACTS)-2025 in Jodhpur”. Hailing from a Handicrafts background, the Hon’ble minister further shared journey of the evolution of handicrafts from Jodhpur over last three decades. He extended appreciation to the artisans, organizers and exhibitors who have come together to make this event a grand success.

Dileep Baid, Chairman-EPCH shared that this Expo is not just a showcase of talent but also a testament to the resilience and creativity of our artisans. Events like these reaffirm Rajasthan’s position as a cultural hub. This expo is a step towards bringing these export-quality products to the domestic market, allowing a wider audience to appreciate the skill and dedication of handicraft manufacturers.

Hansraj Baheti, Member CoA, EPCH shared that visitors from various parts of the country thronged the expo, expressing their appreciation for the exquisite handicrafts on display. The event provided an excellent platform for manufacturers to showcase their unique creations, ranging from beautifully carved wooden pieces to intricate metal and leather artworks. Many attendees were seen engaging with the exhibitors, eager to learn more about the creative processes behind these handicrafts.

Nirmal Bhandari prominent member exporter said that we have been humbled by the presence of our esteemed guests and Govt. dignitaries who visited the fair included Satypal Sharma, District Judge, Jodhpur, Suryprakash Sharma, District Judge, Jodhpur, Sunil Jai Singh, RSRTC, Jodhpur, Puran Sharma, Jaisalmer and many others visited. They interacted with the exhibitors and commended them for excellent range of products on display. In addition, the expo entertained visitors with a remarkable musical performance by the popular local band, Ninad.

Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts is a nodal organization for promotion of exports of handicrafts from the country and create brand image of magic of the gifted hands of millions of artisans and crafts persons engaged in production of home, lifestyle, textiles, furniture, and fashion jewellery & accessories in craft clusters of the country. The overall Handicrafts exports during the year 2023-24 was Rs. 32,759 Crores (US $ 3,956 Million). The exports of woodware during the year 2023-24 is 8038.17 Crores with Jodhpur comprising 28.19% in woodware exports added Mr. R. K. Verma, Executive Director – EPCH.
