Unisys Infosolutions Saga Music, who’s much anticipated Harbhajan Mann starrer movie ‘Saadey CM Saab’, which is also being released simultaneously in Hindi, on May 27, organised a lavish & full of style Music launch of event of ‘Saadey CM Saab’ — ‘Showshaa’, at Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon. Why Gurgaon for a Punjabi film? Pat comes the reply from Sumeet Singh, MD, Unisys Infosolutions-Saga Music, “While most of the Music launches of Punjabi films’ have been taking place in Punjab’s capital Chandigarh, we have chosen ‘Kingdom of Dreams’ at Gurgaon for launching the movie’s music. The idea is to create a buzz at the National level by doing the launch in NCR, for a Punjabi movie, which has not happened earlier. After all the film is also being released in Hindi.”
The Music Launch party was a grand event which saw soul stirring performances by Harshdeep Kaur — well known Bollywood playback, who has carved out a niche for herself in Sufi renditions. Harshdeep, has also sung ‘Mere Vich Teri’ a Romantic song of ‘Saadey CM Saab’ with Harbhajan Mann. Harbhajan Maan too enthralled the guests with his enchanting voice & by singing ‘Mere Vich Teri’ a duet with Harshdeep, ‘Chup Karja’ a song based on the theme of friendship and a devotional single ‘Aad Sach Jugaad Sach’ which left everyone enamoured.
“I am sure that the six songs in the movie will all be runaway hits, some have already received tremendous response after being launched on digital & social media. One song is better than the other. Stalwarts like Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan have sung for ‘Saadey CM Saab’, the title track ‘Saadey CM Saab’ is in the voice of the famous Daler Mehndi and we have Bollywood playback Madhushree Bhattacharya too giving her voice for a song – ‘Sajna’ opposite Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. ” Said Harbhajan Mann.
An interesting fact is that a song ‘Sheran Da Raaj’ is picturised on ‘Saadey CM Saab’s’ villain Dev Singh Gill who was also the anti-hero in South Indian blockbusters like ‘Magadheera’ & ‘Lingaa’.
Vipin Prashar, Director, ‘Saadey CM Saab’, said, “’Saadey CM Saab’s Punjabi version will make waves in Punjab ,other North Indian states and in International territories too, there is universal appeal in the movie as it gives a very deep message while entertaining thoroughly. As far as the music is concerned, it will be etched in the listener’s memory for a long time to come.”
The unique aspect about the songs’ bouquet presented by ‘Saadey CM Saab’ is that the people behind the music are extremely talented and versatile individuals. Lyrics have been penned by the likes of Babu Singh Mann & S M Sadiq — the great Pakistani lyricist & poet. Music has been directed by people like Avishek Majumdar who has given music for Bollywood films. The other Music Directors are Rishi- Siddharth & Goldkartz.
