Hardev Singh’s death: Punjab political parties play safe

Even though Prime Minister Narindera Modi didn’t take much time to express his grief on the untimely death of Nirankari head Hardev Singh in a car accident in Canada Friday, strangely, major political parties of Punjab, where the Nirankari sect exists, however have been avoiding issuing any statement over the unfortunate incident.

With over 24 hours gone, Shiromani Akali Dal Badal and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are yet to issue any condolence message. Amidst this confusion, Dal Khalsa, the political body of former Sikh militants has criticised Captain Amarinder Singh, after he chose the social media to condole the death of the Nirankari head.
