Harvard Professor Ranjay Gulati to Receive 14th IILM Distinguished Global Thinker Award

New Delhi (23 April 2025): IILM University, in association with the IILM Institute for Higher Education, is set to host an illustrious ceremony to honour Professor Ranjay Gulati, a globally renowned academic and business thinker from Harvard Business School, with the 14th IILM Distinguished Global Thinker Award. The event will take place on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 4:00 PM, at 3 Lodhi Institutional Area, New Delhi.
The event will be graced by Justice Hima Kohli, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India, who will preside over the proceedings. Following the award presentation, Professor Gulati will deliver a keynote lecture titled “Deep Purpose: The Heart and Soul of High-Performance Organisations”, inspired by his groundbreaking book of the same name.
Professor Ranjay Gulati, who currently serves as the Paul R. Lawrence MBA Class of 1942 Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, is celebrated for his deep insights into leadership, strategy, and organizational purpose. His academic journey reflects exceptional intellectual rigor, with a Ph.D. from Harvard University, a Master’s from MIT Sloan School of Management, and dual undergraduate degrees from Washington State University and Delhi’s St. Stephen’s College.
His latest work, Deep Purpose, delves into the transformative power of purpose-driven leadership, exploring how companies that anchor their mission in authentic, meaningful goals tend to outperform others—not only in financial terms but also in employee engagement and societal impact. The lecture promises to offer a compelling perspective on the future of corporate leadership and management strategies.
