Haryana top preference for investors. A road show as a kick off to the global investors summit in march 2016
Haryana has offered Coca Cola India, one of the country’s leading beverage companies for setting up ‘Kinnow’ juice plant at Food Park in Saha, Ambala. This offer was made to President, Coca Cola India Mr Venkatesh Kini by Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal during the one to one meetings in the Roadshow organized at Hotel Lalit in New Delhi. Mr Kini informed the Chief Minister that Coca Cola India is the largest manufacturer of soft drink, ‘Maaza’. He said that the company had started projects in two states for imparting training to the farmers in the field of organic mango farming. A similar project could also be launched in Haryana to promote the cultivation of organic mango, he suggested. Responding to the offer of the Chief Minister regarding Kinnow Juice Plant in Haryana, the company assured that a survey would soon be conducted to explore the possibility for the same.
In one to one meeting with CEO India Operations, Ascendas Singbridge Group, Mr Fu Nyap Lee, Mr Lee expressed his keen interest in setting up big skill development project, especially in Gurgaon as it is being considered a favorite destination for setting up venture in this field. He also informed that the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi had met the Chairman of the company during his recent visit to Singapore during which the Chairman has shown interest in making investment in India. On the request made by Mr Lee, the Chief Minister assured him of all support from the Government.
Mr Onkar S. Kanwar CEO Artemis Medicare Services Ltd informed that a second tower of the Artemis hospital would be set up in Gurgaon. It was informed in the meeting that on the initiative of the Chief Minister, the State Government has constituted an empowered committee under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary to Chief Minister to resolve the cases pending in litigation outside the court.
The Co-founder of Micromax, Mr Rajesh Aggarwal offered to set up a manufacturing unit preferably in National Capital Region providing employment to 5500 youth with initial investment ranging from Rs 100 crore to Rs 500 crore. Micromax is currently the second largest smartphone manufacturing company in India.
The Regional Director, South Asia Korea Trade Centre, Embassy of the Republic of Korea expressed keen interest of the Korean Company in making investment in the field of electronics, trade investments promotions, medical equipment and setting of industrial parks in Rohtak. The Chief Minister offered land in Rohtak on NH-10 where HSIIDC would arrange a visit of the delegation of the company to the proposed site. The Chief Minister offered South Korea to become partner for the Happening Haryana Global Investors’ Summit.
Mr Krish Iyer, President and CEO, Wal Mart India Private Ltd also met the Chief Minister for opening its chain of stores in Haryana which would support the MSMEs in the state.
President India-Middle East and Africa Emerson Electric Co, Pradipta Sen requested the Chief Minister to provide land near Manesar for setting up of a manufacturing unit of electronic parts. He apprised the Chief Minister that the company had already set up its unit in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra and now they are looking Haryana as their next destination for expanding their base.
The Managing Director, Pratt & Whitney (United Technologist Corporation), Mr Palash Roy Chowdhury expressed interest in investment in the field of aviation sector and an industry delegation would soon be visiting Haryana for this purpose. The Chief Minister informed them that an Aviation Hub was being developed at Hisar. Mr Chowdhury said that the company had recently launched an eco-friendly battery driven auto rickshaw in Delhi which has been manufactured in Sonipat in Haryana. The Chief Minister offered all support and cooperation of State Government to the company.
The Senior Vice President Business Development, Mr Thomas Mathew, Amplus Energy Solutions Private Limited offered to set up roof top solar power plants in the state to achieve the target generating 4000 MW of solar power by the year 2022.
President, Surya Kiran Empowering Women Project of Sun Foundation, Padam Shri Mr Vikram Jeet Singh Sahney offered to set up centres for skill development of girls free of cost and requested for providing space for conducting classes. On this the Chief Minister said that the facilities of IITs or polytechnics could be utilized in evening shifts or during holidays.
