New Delhi, December 19, 2024: New Delhi witnessed high-voltage drama on Thursday as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi pushed a fellow Member of Parliament, causing an injury to him. The claim has further fueled tensions between the ruling party and the Opposition amid ongoing protests outside Parliament.
Speaking to reporters, Sarangi recounted the incident, stating, “Rahul Gandhi pushed a member of Parliament who then fell on me, causing me to fall near the stairs. I sustained an injury to my head.” Sarangi clarified that he was standing on the stairs when the alleged incident occurred.
The controversy unfolded amidst simultaneous protests by the ruling BJP and the Opposition outside Parliament, escalating the already tense political atmosphere.
