Hindon Airbase to turn into Airport soon

The Indian Air Force-maintained Hindon airbase in Ghaziabad would turn into the second airport in the National Capital Region of Delhi for regional commercial flights, the union government said on Wednesday.

The government said that they have obtained approvals from the Indian Air Force to permit regional airlines to launch flights out of Hindon airbase instead of the existing Delhi airport.
