Hindu Yuva Vahini member’s car ‘runs over’ calf, drags it for 20 metres: Reports
Lucknow, Apr 7: A calf was allegedly killed in Lucknow after a car of Hindu Yuva Vahini’s (HYV) Lucknow district convener ran over it in Nivada area in Janakipuram locality of the city on Wednesday. Hindu Yuva Vahini is a social organisation founded by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and cow protection is one of it’s main objectives.
According to a report in the Indian Express, taking cognizance of the matter, the police have registered a case against unidentified persons on the complaint of the calf’s owner, Rajrani — a resident of Nivada. As per her, a group of men, in an inebriated state, ran over the calf, which was tied to a pole, around 7.30 pm near a liquor shop. She also alleged that after the calf died, it was dragged for about 20 metres
