New Delhi, August 9, 2023: Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the opposition during his address in the Lok Sabha regarding the no-confidence motion against the Narendra Modi government. Shah dismissed the motion as an attempt to sow confusion among the public and criticized the opposition for failing to address substantive issues.
Asserting that the no-confidence motion did not reflect a lack of confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi or his government, Shah declared, “This no-confidence motion has been brought only to create a delusion.”
Highlighting Prime Minister Modi’s popularity and dedication, Shah commended the leader’s tireless efforts for the nation. “PM Modi is the most popular leader among the public… He works continuously for 17 hours a day, without taking a single leave. People trust him,” Shah stated.
In an assertive tone, Shah underscored the Modi government’s accomplishments, citing “50 historic decisions” taken over the past nine years. He highlighted the slogan initiated by PM Modi, “Corruption Quit India, Dynasty Quit India, and Appeasement Quit India.”
The Home Minister further scrutinized the opposition’s stance on key government initiatives. Shah questioned their resistance to the Jan Dhan Yojana, emphasizing that the government’s efforts ensured that the full intended benefit reached the beneficiaries.
Shah reiterated the government’s commitment to farmers, asserting that their initiatives aimed not only at waiving off loans but also at establishing a self-sufficient framework. He contrasted the opposing ideologies, stating, “UPA’s character is to protect power, but NDA fights to protect principle. UPA’s character is to indulge in corruption to save their government.”
The parliamentary debate showcased the polarized views on crucial policy matters, with Amit Shah’s address putting forth a strong defense of the government’s track record and policies. As the discourse unfolds, the nation awaits further deliberations on the no-confidence motion and its implications.
