New Delhi; Padma shri Dr. Pritam Singh who is a chairman-LEAD centre said while presenting the inaugural address that effectiveness of an organisation will depend mostly on HR strategies.
He said that there are no of organisational challenges and sectorial challenges.
“Attracting talent is a challenge despite good working conditions; we have not been able to project the benefits of this sector”. Pritam said.
“NTPC was preparing a business plan 80% plant load factor and to generate when the whole sector was in loss and was not able to do 50% capacity utilization” said Global Guru in the area of leadership.
He said that in companies where the CEO has been appointed from the outside in most cases the basic DNA of the company was disturbed and a lot of harm has been done to the organisation as compared to the organisations where the CEO is from the within.
He further said that power sector also require a thoughtful selection of leadership where HR has to be confront and ensure that it acts as the fighter architect and builder of the company.
