Iconic Hall of Nations demolished at Delhi’s Pragati Maidan

(24/04/2017) : World’s first pillar less concrete space frame structure which was also famously known as “Hall of Nations’ was demolished on Sunday night. The demolition drive is being done as part of IECC project of ITPO.

Due to its iconic architectural value, there was much opposition to its demolition. Yet, the demolition drive continued as planned and demolished the structure on intervening night of 23-24 April. Nehru pavilion is going to be next structure to be demolished at Pragati Maidan.
