25th December, New Delhi: Global Empire Events and BizNation, in collaboration with the Women Leaders Forum, orchestrated a distinguished gathering at Radisson Blue, Paschim Vihar, New Delhi, for the Icons Of Asia Awards Chapter 8 on 22 December, 2023.
Commencing with a dance dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the event embraced prayers and a ceremonial lamp lighting by esteemed guests. Entrepreneurs and speakers conveyed their insights, acknowledging the progress in women’s roles while emphasizing the need for further advancement. The Women’s Reservation Bill found a place in the discussions.
Dr. Neeraj A. Sharma, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Palau to India, emphasized the global pursuit of sustainable development, urging corporates to fulfill their social responsibilities. Regarding women’s empowerment, he highlighted the underrepresentation of women CEOs and stressed the need for tangible progress.
Smt. Ranjeeta Mehta, Honorary General Secretary, Haryana State Council for Child Welfare, conveyed her views through poetry, underlining that true empowerment grants women autonomy in life decisions. She recognized the importance of women’s empowerment in national development, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi for progress.
Adv. Udaiveer Singh Bindra, Managing Director of Global Empire Events & BizNation TV, invoked Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s teachings, emphasizing the platform’s goal to honor women leaders and social contributors. He highlighted the transformative role of women in various leadership positions.
H.E. Mr. K.L. Ganju, o.c.v.c., Advisor to Foreign Minister, Union of Comoros, congratulated the awardees, asserting that Indians globally are leading not only Asia but the entire world. He underscored the challenges and responsibilities of entrepreneurship, encouraging the audience that the future belongs to them.
Dr. Deepak Singh, Cultural Ambassador to Seychelles, invoked Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s wisdom, recognizing women as the foundation of society. He stressed the significance of respecting women for societal prosperity.
The event concluded with the recognition of outstanding women and social workers, honoring their contributions to society. The program wrapped up with a vote of thanks.
