IEIA ORGANISED 4TH EDITION OF TWO DAYS OPEN SEMINAR IN HYDERABAD

The Indian Exhibition Industry Association (IEIA) is organizing its annual 4th edition of two days seminar in HITEX Exhibition Center, Hyderabad starting from 29th August to 30thAugust, 2014.

 

Mr Mohd. Mohamood Ali, Dy. Chief Minister of Telangana State, was the Chief Guest of the 4th IEIA Open Seminar during inauguration on 29thAugust, 2014.  Amongst present other were Mr. David DuBois, President and CEO Int’l Association for Exhibitions and Events, Mr. Rakesh Kumar President IEIA besides delegates of the seminar, participants, dignitaries from exhibition were present during the inauguration of the two days seminar.

 

An important Agreement was signed in between Indian Exhibition Industry Association in which Mr. Rakesh Kumar is the President, and American International Industry Association on the day of the opening of 4th International Open Seminar organized by Indian Exhibition Industry Association (IEIA).  It is felt that signing of this agreement will provide a lot of benefits to the Handicrafts sector while holding exhibitions in US and India Exposition Mart in inviting exhibition organizations in India.

 

The objective of organizing Open Seminar is to offer immense opportunities for delegates to network and collaborate with leading national and international trade fair industry professionals and to share the perspective of the trade fair industry. About 400 delegates are attending the 4thedition of two days open seminar from various countries and India.The theme of the seminar is “Trade Fair Business Growth Through Enhanced Product Quality”.

 

Dignitaries and delegates were welcomed by the President of IEIA Shri Rakesh Kumar.  While speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Mr. Rakesh Kumar, President – IEIA, briefed about importance of Hyderabad city which is known world over as IT hub and then dwelled upon the role and importance of the trade fairs and exhibitions in the development of the city. He said that organization of exhibitions is the most cost effective medium for developing business, trade, technology, joint ventures, collaborations, marketing tie ups etc.  One of the greatest aspects of exhibition in the city is big business for allied industries like hotels, restaurants, shopping, tourism and travel etc. which changes the face of the city as well boost the overall economy.

 

He further elaborated that face to face communication between buyers and sellers at fairs cannot be replaced by any digital communication. Specialised shows attract specialised buyers resulting in direct contacts, test marketing opportunities, knowing the reactions of the visitors, assessing marketing trends, technological developments and level of competition in the industry.

 

The Indian Trade Fair Industry is valued at an annual turnover of around Rs. 2200 crores and growing at a rate of around 15% annually. More than 650 trade shows are held all over India and there is vast potential for growth.  Its multiplying effects on economy is to the tune of more than Rs. One lakh Crores.
