IESA to host ‘India Expo Shop Summit 2016’, focus will be on emerging trends in Exhibit Design Industry

These are the days of when government is promoting its flagship programmes through bigger event platforms like Make in India, Digital India, Smart Cities, Skill India and many more. It shows that the event and exhibition industry certainly plays a very important role in promotion and brand building. As a major activity in the area of promoting exhibitions, conferences & events services the Indian Exhibitions, Conferences & Events Services Association (IESA) is organising the India Expo Shop Summit 2016 (IES 2016) at India Expo Centre and Mart, in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh between 21-23 April 2016.

Indian Exhibitions, Conferences & Events Services Association (IESA), is an apex organisation working towards the development of the exhibitions, conferences & events services sector since 2013.

The theme of IES 2016 is: “Effective strategies for creating experiential spaces in Exhibitions, Events and Sports.”

The India Expo Shop Summit 2016 (www.indiaexposhop.com ) is a 3-day event comprising of expo for service providers, design organisations, event managers, and MARCOM segment of large corporates, senior representatives of government departments, experts, students and academicians and a 1 – day summit on April 22, 2016.

The conference will be inaugurated on 22 April at 9.30 am by senior government official in the presence of eminent dignitaries including Nanu Binu, President, IESA; Mr Pradyumna Vyas, Director, National Institute of Design (NID); Sabbas Joseph, President, Event & Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) and many others.

The inauguration will be followed by a powerful keynote address and presentation on the topic of “Effective Strategies for Creating Experiential Spaces in Exhibitions, Events and Sports.”

The large list of esteemed speakers at the summit includes senior government officials, exhibit design experts and academicians from across the country and abroad.  Mr Amardeep Behl, Director, Design Habit; Mr. George Blake, Events & Strategy at CSM Sport & Entertainment; Mr. Jignesh Khakhar, Head New Media Design, Information Technology, National Institute of Design; Mr. Dilipkumar Mattappilly, Director-Project, Acoustic Logistic; Mr. Sunil More, Partner, Fair Act will speak on the various topics ranging from ‘Story telling as an effective medium of communication in space’ to ‘Planning and delivery overview in the sports world’ to ‘Relevance of new media in exhibition and events’ and ‘Ensuring safety & security in organising events.’

In addition to above focus, a powerful panel discussion on the topic of “Future Trends in Design, Communication and Technology” is also planned which will be moderated by Mr. P R Mehta, Former President, Council of Architecture (COA India), Former Member, Expert Group of Ministry of commerce on Services and Director, Cityneon DAG India Pvt Ltd. The panel discussion will focus on the future trends in design, communication and how technology – not only the internet but new materials, software and production techniques, can bring innovation and change the way world perceive exhibitions and events.

The summit is supported by key industry bodies, government organisations including Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), which have been working towards trade promotion and overall growth of the industry in India.

India Expo Summit 2016 will gather key practitioners and about 500 + delegates which include service providers, design organisations, event managers,  MARCOM  segment of large corporate, senior representatives of government departments and experts, will attend the summit.
