Bihar, Sept 4, 2022: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday claimed that BJP can be bought down to a mere 50 seats in the 2024 elections if all the opposition parties work together against them.

Ever since Kumar snapped ties with BJP last month and joined forces with Lalu Prasad’s RJD party, he has been making headlines about overthrowing BJP in the nation and uniting all other parties.

Kumar was speaking at his party JD(U)’s executive meeting in Patna when he called for unity of opposition.

Two notable resolutions were passed during the meeting, one authorising Nitish Kumar to work for Opposition unity and the second declaring an ‘undeclared emergency’ in the country under BJP’s rule.

“If all (opposition) parties fight together, the BJP will be bundled out for about 50 seats. I am devoting myself to that drive (abhiyan)”, he said.

The JDU leader further added, “The BJP will try to disturb social and communal harmony in the state. We must foil their designs by keeping vigil to the level of panchayats”.

Nitish Kumar is expected to visit Delhi with the senior leaders of other parties to discuss an anti-BJP front. His three-day visit is said to begin tomorrow, Sept 5th.
