The largest national body of allopathic doctors in India namely Indian Medical Association today organized a massive Maha Panchayat at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi.
The historic gathering discussed and deliberated upon various aspects of National Medical Commission (NMC) bill. IMA has now taken its objections against NMC to public and is now undertaking the protests with a theme of ‘connect with the society, consolidate the fraternity..’
Today’s Maha Panchayat deliberated upon deciding a future course of strategy to further intensify and enhance its fight against NMC bill.
Speaking to Ten News National President of IMA Dr. Ravi said, “The complete fraternity is against the NMC bill which is aiming at diluting the current medical structure of country. We have today gathered here to mark the beginning of a decisive protest against the authoritarian bill”.
Former President of IMA Dr. KK Agarwal also echoed the similar view and said, “The fraternity may take some very strict decisions today and we may entirely withdraw ourselves from services till our very serious objections against NMC bills are heard”.
Over twenty thousands doctors from all over India gathered today at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium to get their objections against National Medical Commission Bill.
Nerve touching speeches against various alleged discriminatory aspects of NMC bill were being delivered in front of a stadium full of medical practitioners. A decision was still awaited till the writing of this report.
