On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, a celebration was held at the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, which was attended by the Solicitor General and the [President, Vice President, and Secretary] of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
The Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, Justice N. V. Ramana, hoisted the national flag at the Supreme Court. The Hon’ble Chief Justice in his speech has stated that the legal fraternity should also focus on social work.
Moreover, he has mentioned that in the 75 years of independence, our country has made significant progress and development despite having limited resources.
The event was also attended by senior lawyer Manoj Gorkela. On the occasion he wished for a just society with equality at its forefront.
He said that 40% of rich people should help the 60% vulnerable and downtrodden persons to uplift them and transform India into a golden bird.
