Independence Day Celebration in Ishan Group of Institutions, Gr. Noida

Independence Day celebrations at the first B-school of Greater Noida, Ishan Group of Institutions commenced with fervor and enthusiasm. The event kicked off with the hoisting of the Indian tricolor amidst chants of “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”. The flag was hoisted by the Chairman, Dr.D.K.Garg. On this occasion, faculty, staff and students of the Management, Law, Education and Architecture departments were present. A cultural program consisting of patriotic songs and other activities of nationalistic fervor were performed by the students.
In his keynote address the Chairman and Founder of Ishan Group of Institutions, Dr.D.K.Garg said that the process of nation building starts and concludes with the youth of that nation. Stressing on the need to participate in nation building he further said that the youth should come forward and work vigorously towards achieving progress for their organizations and themselves and strive to achieve excellence of execution in whatever they do. He urged management students to take a broader view of business and focus not only profits but as an engine of economic growth so that development and nationhood objectives may go hand in hand. In his address he offered humble prayer to the youth to drop the baggage of history and focus on the agenda at hand. He conceded that while India has come a long distance in the last 68 years, yet a lot is left to be achieved. He urged the students of the institute to participate in nation building by means of their respective occupational domains.
On this occasion the students of PGDM, BTC, B.Arch. and LLB participated in cultural programs showcasing the cultural diversity of India. The program concluded with the custom “Sahbhoj” (community eating) which is organized every year on this auspicious day at the premises of the institute there by symbolizing the unity in diversity of India.
