India test-fires nuclear capable Agni-V ballistic missile days after China clash

India successfully test-fired a nuclear-capable Agni-V ballistic missile with a range of over 5,000 kilometres on Thursday, just days after Chinese assault in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang region.

Agni IV, the current model, has a range of 4,000 km, Agni III has a range of 3,000 km, and Agni II has a range of 2,000 km.

The Agni-V missile has been successfully test-fired, two persons familiar with the situation stated. However, there has been no official announcement on the missile’s test-firing.
