Indian Railways to operate special trains during Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath Puja

This year Indian Railways will operate festival special trains to ensure smooth travel for the passengers  These special trains will be operated from Ist October 2024 to 30th November 2024.

To tackle the rush during the festive season, this year Northern Railway will operate special trains. This year there has been a noteworthy increase in special trains operated by Northern Railway.

Northern Railway will operate 2694 trips of special trains during the festive season. These increased trips will benefit passengers in a big way to reach their destination.

In 2023, Indian Railways operated festival special trains in which Northern Railway had run 1082 trips of special trains.
This year, 2694 trips shall be operated which is an increase of 149%. This increase showcases Railways’ commitment for convenient travel for its passengers.

Indian Railways is always committed for  providing better facilities to its passengers.
This year also, Railways is committed for convenient travel of passengers and their safety and more spl trains will be announced if additional footfall is anticipated in due course.
