India’s Dairy Sector Takes Center Stage at SWAD24 Seminar and Expo in Jaipur

Jaipur, December 20, 2024: “The SWAD24 Dairy & Sweet Seminar and Expo is a commendable initiative that showcases the potential of India’s dairy sector on a global platform, benefiting Indian farmers and strengthening the economy,” said Jawahar Singh Bedam, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry, Gopalan & Fisheries, Rajasthan. He inaugurated the maiden edition of the event at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur, marking a significant milestone for the Indian dairy industry.

The event brought together several eminent personalities, including Om Prakash Poonia, Chairman of Jaipur Dairy; Rajesh Gupta, Regional Head, NDDB, Delhi; Ashok Rao, Vice Chairman, IDA North Zone; Lalit Verma, Financial Advisor, RCDF; Manish Faujdar, Managing Director, Jaipur Dairy; Karun Chandalia, Chairman, IDA Rajasthan State Chapter; and Ram Lal Bishnoi, Chairman, Jodhpur Dairy. Jointly organized by India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML), Greater Noida, and the Indian Dairy Association (IDA), Rajasthan State Chapter, this two-day event (December 20–21) aims to strengthen India’s position as the world’s leading milk producer. The SWAD24 Seminar and Expo is poised to serve as a model for other IDA chapters, driving growth and innovation in the dairy sector nationwide.

The Minister also inaugurated the exhibition, where he lauded the participants for their innovative technologies and delectable dairy products. The expo features key industry players, including Amul, Bimal Industries, Delmos, Frubon, IDMC, Indifoss, NCDFI, Neel Electricals & Electronics, Paayas, Prompt, RCDF, and REIL. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of IEML, congratulated the Rajasthan Chapter of IDA for organizing the inaugural event in collaboration with IEML. In his special message, he expressed optimism that the event would inspire other states to amplify India’s dairy sector on the global stage.

The seminar covers a range of critical topics, including global opportunities and challenges in the dairy market, biogas and renewable energy in Rajasthan’s dairy sector, India’s contribution to global dairy trade, export trends, and the importance of sustainable dairy production. Discussions also emphasize ensuring quality and safety, the role of digitalization, and renewable energy in modern dairying. Presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions are designed to provide insights into clean milk production, animal health, phytosanitary measures, and the future of dairy exports.

As the SWAD24 Dairy & Sweet Seminar and Expo unfolds, it aspires to position India as a global leader in the dairy industry by embracing cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices. This initiative is a testament to the nation’s commitment to innovation, quality, and leadership in the dairy sector.
