Indo-American Chamber of Commerce Celebrated US Independence Day in the New Delhi

New Delhi, (25/6/2019): The Indo – American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), North India Council (NIC), organized a gala evening to celebrate “US Independence Day” in New Delhi. The evening was graced by US Ambassador HE Mr Kenneth I Juster as the Chief Guest, Sachin J Joshi, Actor & serial entrepreneur as the guest of honor and many other eminent personalities.



While addressing the elite gathering of diplomats and business tycoons Regional President of IACC,NIC Aseem Chawla said, “This particular occasion facilitated an excellent and unique Diaspora for interaction with the distinguished members of the Diplomatic corps and also for exploring new business opportunities, which would help in furthering international linkages”. He further added that theme of the evening was “America’s Spirit of Innovation”. America is the oldest democracy and India is the largest democracy, it was a great platform to celebrate the common commitment to democrat values , freedom and the shared future made possible through close US Indian bilateral ties”.

US Ambassador HE Mr Kenneth I Juster who has almost 40 years of experience as a senior business executive, senior law partner and senior government official, while addressing the event said, “The US and India are “natural allies” and share common interests and a genuine friendship. America’s envoy to New Delhi . He further added that that two countries could face any challenge with the strong people-to-people relations. Diplomacy, it is said, has no eternal friends, only eternal issues. That may be the case for other countries but in my 20 years of experience, the US and India share common interests and a genuine friendship”. He highlighted the issues of bilateral trade and challenges that India is facing — like managing the rise of China, countering terrorism, promoting economic growth and modernising its military.

S K Sarkar, National President IACC said “Current Indo-US bilateral trade is at USD 142.1 billion and we hope this can jump to USD 500 billion (by 2023-24). There are short-term issues concerning e-commerce, Generalised System of Preferences (GSP) and medical equipment. This platform is an ultimate resolution to build the relation between the two nations and will surely help in enhancing the trade relations between the two countries”

Sachin Joshi, Chairman Viking Ventures while addressing the audience said, “The Indo American trade relation have grown enormously in the past few years and due to the response in the growing trade relations between the countries, Viking Ventures is soon going to launch a brand of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages in the US. This evening is a sign of growing trust between the two countries”.


The evening witnessed a gathering of over 150+ attendees which included CXOs level executive from both Indian and American Companies across sectors and counselors from the US Embassy.
